For a better picture of exactly what a Feng Shui consultation involves, the
following is a step-by-step guide of the approach taken by Fifth Element Feng
Shui. Please note this relates to a full consultation on existing buildings only.
1. Choose a qualified consultant
Firstly, make sure your Feng Shui consultant is well qualified and trained from
reputable institutions. There are plenty of people who call themselves Feng
Shui consultants after doing a weekend course! A good place to start is the
Association of Feng Shui Consultants. For best results, make sure your
consultant is a qualified practitioner of Flying Star Feng Shui.
2. Prepare for your appointment
Upon securing your appointment with your chosen consultant, you should be
prepared to supply the following:
• A floor plan of your home drawn to scale (see example)
• The year your home was built
• Clear details of any renovations, including the year they took place
• Birth time, date and place for all occupants in the home.
To get the best out of your consultant, the more information you can provide
to them about your home, the better. Do as much research as possible on
your home, including previous owners, how they faired whilst living there,
ask your neighbours for information about the neighbourhood or even conduct
research at your local library and council.
3. Complete a questionnaire
You’ll be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire prior to the consultation
including personal information and details regarding your experiences living in
your home. Your consultant will go through this with you during the first visit
to get a thorough understanding of your current situation and experience.
4. Home visit one
Fifth Element Feng Shui will conduct consultations in two parts.
